What is a discovery session?

Before starting on any journey, it’s wise to plan ahead. We offer Discovery Sessions as a way to help you understand where you’re going, how long it will take, how much fuel (budget) you should expect to use, and what risks face us along the way.

For projects of this complexity, it is crucial to perform a comprehensive scoping exercise to ensure that all project requirements have been accurately captured. The discovery process begins with one 2-hour strategy meeting which will confirm or uncover additional detailed requirements for this project.

After the meeting, Panoramic Web Studio will create your roadmap document. The roadmap will contain the overall strategic blueprint for your website including: branding guidelines, target audiences, desired calls-to-action, sitemap architecture, plus functional and technical requirements. It will act as a checklist of strategic information that is needed to move forward to Step 2, the Design Phase.

After your initial consultation, we work with you during a 2-hour discovery session to create a personalized plan that outlines how you can successfully position yourself and engage with your audience. This plan is called the project road map.

Using the road map, we’ll follow the principles of design to visually impart your message clearly and effectively on your new website.

This phase includes prototyping, concept presentation, and a client feedback loop. The design phase ends with ends with site development and deployment.
